If you knew it, doors opened. Now? It\u2019s just one tool among many. The same thing is happening again with AI stacks. People are jumping in, assuming this is the new foundation of everything.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not that these technologies don\u2019t matter. They do. But the mistake is confusing the tool with the craft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s where things get blurry for a lot of developers: coding and development are not the same thing.<\/p>\n Coding is typing out instructions. Development is solving problems, structuring systems, managing state, designing APIs, and making sure the whole thing actually works in the real world.<\/p>\n Even back when Java was dominant, the best developers weren\u2019t the ones who memorized syntax. They were the ones who understood how to design software properly.<\/p>\n That hasn\u2019t changed. What\u2019s changed is how much raw coding you actually need to do.<\/p>\n With AI, more of the mechanical work is being handled for you. That means your value shifts away from typing code and toward making decisions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve been in this field long enough, you start to see the pattern. Technologies come and go, but a few things keep paying off:<\/p>\n These are not trendy skills. They don\u2019t get hype cycles.
