But when you actually use AI tools day-to-day, you see the limits very quickly.<\/p>\n AI is useful, sometimes impressive, but far from autonomous or reliable enough to replace entire industries.<\/strong><\/p>\n If your understanding of AI comes from headlines instead of hands-on experience, your judgment will be off. That\u2019s where most of the anxiety comes from.<\/p>\n Some of the loudest warnings about AI risk come from big tech companies. That doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re lying, but it does mean you should think twice.<\/p>\n Regulation often benefits the biggest players. If you\u2019ve spent billions on infrastructure, the last thing you want is lightweight, local AI models competing with you.<\/p>\n So what happens?<\/p>\n Meanwhile, developers get distracted, worried about the wrong things, and miss the actual opportunity sitting in front of them.<\/p>\n This cycle isn\u2019t new. We saw it during the dot-com era. We saw it during the financial crisis. Big predictions, big fear, and then\u2026 reality lands somewhere in the middle.<\/p>\n Technology doesn\u2019t erase opportunity. It shifts it.<\/strong><\/p>\n The developers who adapt do well.
