The mentoring program<\/a> has a focus on freelancing. So the steps are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Learn the fundamentals of web development and programming.<\/li>\n
  2. Build a portfolio site.<\/li>\n
  3. I inspect the portfolio site to be sure it is professional.<\/li>\n
  4. You do the training on freelancing and small project management.<\/li>\n
  5. You do the soft skills training so you can communicate well with clients.<\/li>\n
  6. You go out and do 2-3 small free freelance projects to build skills and to beef up your portfolio.<\/li>\n
  7. All the while, you get live support from me and others in the program,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
